What's the difference between Recurring Events and Recurring Bookings?

Recurring Events = your repeating classes

A Recurring Event is a class or session that repeats on your timetable — for example a "Hybrid Training" class every Monday. You set it up once and it fills your calendar automatically.

You create and edit recurring classes from the calendar. For the full steps see "How do I manage the class schedule and recurring classes?" and "How do I add a once-off or recurring class?"; to change a single occurrence rather than the whole series, see "How do I edit a class or session?".

You can also see every repeating class in one place under Scheduling → Recurring Events. Each row’s ⋮ menu lets you Edit, Duplicate or Delete the whole series.

Recurring Bookings = a member’s standing spot

A Recurring Booking automatically books a specific member into the same recurring class each week, so they don’t have to book it manually every time.

• Find them under Scheduling → Recurring Bookings. Each one shows the Member, the Class, the Booked Days and an End Date.
• Use the Status filter (Active / Inactive) to see current or ended bookings.
• Click Create New to add one, or the ⋮ (Actions) → Edit / Deactivate to change or stop one.

In short

A Recurring Event is the class itself, set up by your facility. A Recurring Booking is a member’s repeating place in that class. 

How far ahead the calendar shows: The calendar displays up to about 3 months in advance. Recurring classes and recurring bookings set to run further out - say, a series scheduled through to Christmas - are still saved and will run; they just won't appear in the calendar beyond that window yet. The later classes become visible as their dates come into range. So if a recurring series stops showing after about 3 months, nothing is wrong - the later classes simply aren't displayed yet.
