How do I hide or restore features in the Octiv menu?
Hidden Features lets you hide parts of Octiv your facility does not use, so your menu stays tidy. It is also the first place to look if a menu item has unexpectedly disappeared — it was most likely hidden here by accident, not broken, and nothing has been deleted.
Hiding a feature you don’t use
- Go to Settings → Facility & Location and open the Facility Settings tab.
- Scroll down to Hidden Features.
- Tick the feature(s) you want to hide — Comms, Leads, Scheduling, Store, Tasks, Workouts or Injuries — then click Submit.
The ticked modules disappear from the side menu. This is a facility-level setting, so it changes the menu for everyone at the facility.
Restoring a feature that has disappeared
If a menu item is missing, first check who it is missing for:
- Missing for everyone: it has been hidden. Go to Settings → Facility & Location → Facility Settings, scroll to Hidden Features, untick the item and click Submit — it returns straight away. Hiding only affects the menu, so your data is not deleted; everything comes back as it was.
- Missing for one staff member only: this is their permissions, not Hidden Features. Open Staff → Manage Staff → ⋮ → View/Edit → Access and switch on the relevant Octiv Access toggle for that staff member.
