How do I add and manage Store products?
Build your product catalogue with pricing, VAT, stock and images
Store > Products
The Products list shows every product with its Category, SKU, Cost, Retail, VAT and Stock. Filter by Location or Product Category, search by name, and switch between Active and Deactivated products.
Adding a product
Click Create New and complete the form:
- Which locations sell this product? — tick each location that stocks it.
- Name, SKU, Cost Price, Retail Price, VAT Percentage — the product’s details and pricing.
- Stock Type — choose Unlimited Stock (never runs out) or Limited Stock (Octiv tracks the quantity and reduces it as you sell).
- Product Category — select an existing category, or choose Create New Category to add one.
- Description — an optional description.
- Product Image — click to upload or drag a file in (max 4mb, PNG recommended), then Upload.
Click Submit to save. The product then appears in the list and is available at the Point of Sale.
Editing, deactivating or reactivating
Use a product’s Actions menu to edit it. To take a product off sale without deleting it, deactivate it — it moves to the Deactivated list and can be reactivated the same way. See “How Do I Deactivate or Activate a Store Product?” for the steps.
