Octiv Access lets members unlock your doors with the same QR code they use to check in. Here's how it works, what it costs and how to get set up.
Yes. Octiv Access is an optional add-on that gives your facility keyless entry. Members unlock your doors with the Octiv app by scanning the same QR code they already use to check in and out. They don't need keycards or fobs.
How does Octiv Access work?
- Octiv connects to your smart door locks through Seam, a secure device-connection service. Nuki smart locks are one of the supported options.
- On arrival, members open the Octiv app and scan the check-in QR code at the door. This unlocks the door.
- Access Control is set up per location.
How much does Octiv Access cost?
You can add Octiv Access on any plan tier. In South Africa it costs R1,000 per month for your first location (excl. VAT). For other currencies, additional locations or a tailored quote, see Octiv pricing or speak to our sales team.
How do I get Octiv Access set up?
- Contact Octiv to add Octiv Access to your plan.
- Our team will help you with the initial setup and with connecting your door locks to Octiv.
- Once your locks are connected, you can see them under Access Control >> Connected Accounts in the left-hand menu. Use the Location selector to choose the correct location. A newly connected account can take some time to sync.
Can I control entry without Octiv Access?
Yes. QR check-in works without any door hardware. Display or print your location's check-in QR code at your entrance. To find it, go to Check-In >> select the correct location. Members scan it in the Octiv app to check in for their class, and trainers can check members in from the class if someone forgets their phone.
