Country-specific features, payment methods, and settings
South Africa
- Debit orders: NetCash or Three Peaks is used for debit orders.
- Card payments: PayStack (2.9% + R1 excl. VAT per transaction).
- Vitality: Discovery Vitality integration is widely used. Facilities must be vetted per-location by VitalityFitness@discovery.co.za .
- Discovery Kiosk: Some facilities use physical Discovery kiosk devices for check-ins. These have since been discontinued
Germany
- Debit orders: GoCardless / Stripe SEPA mandates.
- Tax compliance: Voided invoices are labelled "storniert" — invoices cannot be deleted; sequential numbering is required by law.
- Class schedule notifications: Einstellungen >> Kommunikation >> Kursplan
- SEPA limitation: SEPA does not support 4-week billing cycles — use Stripe card payments for this.
Namibia
- Bank of Windhoek requires specific branch codes for debit order setup — verify with the bank directly before configuring.
