Why are milestone emails missing the member's name (and how do I fix it)?

Known issue with personalisation tags in automated milestone emails

Known Issue
Automated milestone emails (e.g. 'Congratulations on your 50th class!' or 'Happy Birthday!') are currently being sent without the member's name appearing in the email body. By default only the members name is included.

If you want the surname to be included as well (especially in cases where the email is sent to staff and you have many members with the same name) you can simply add the surname tag in that email.

  1. Go to Settings >> Comms
  2. Open the relevant email, e.g Birthdays
  3. Add the [member surname] placeholder
  4. Submit

⚠ *Only automated milestone emails are affected. Manually sent communications with the tag personalise correctly.*
