Adding a Class (Once-Off & Recurring)

A once-off or recurring class can be created within the calendar.

A once-off or recurring class can be created within the calendar.

To add new class:

Left hand menu > Scheduling > Calendar > Create New > Fill in the class details and select recurring or once-off > Submit

We recommend only selecting one day at a time when creating a series for classes that occur at the same time over multiple days of the week.

This will allow for easier edits and changes to a class that has been selected for a single day as opposed to a series of classes that have created for 7 days of the week.

Only the trainer that is assigned to the class will receive messages sent to the trainer by members via the app.

 

Sections explained:

1. General details:
  • Class: The class option is selected when group classes are created
  • Session: The session option is selected when you would like to add any private or personal training sessions

(These are separated on the calendar view and for coach reporting/rates)

  • Class name: Give your class a title e.g. Fitness, Pilates, 5PM, Lifting etc. 
  • Location: If you have more than one premises added to your platform, select which location you would like to create a class or session for. 
  • Trainer: Select the trainer that will be taking the class or session.
  • Supporting Trainer: Add an additional trainer if relevant
  • Should the trainer name be displayed? Choose to hide or display the trainer’s name.
  • Is this class free? If yes is selected, the system will not deduct a credit from the members’ packages

2. Scheduling:
    • Once-off: This is a single class to only appear once in the calendar. This option is commonly used when there is a public holiday or for a specific event. This class will not appear again in the calendar.
    • Recurring: This is a series of repeating classes that will appear in the calendar until the class is removed. 
    3. Bookings:
    • Is this class visible for bookings? Hide or show which members have booked into classes. This only applies to the members app.  
    • Class capacity: Limit how many members can attend the class. 
    • Booking threshold: Add an option that defines how many days/hours, before the class starts, that the class can be booked. Once the booking threshold is closed the member can no longer book into the class.
    • Cancellation threshold: Add an option that defines how many days/hours, before the class starts, that the class can be cancelled. Should the member cancel their class after the cancellation threshold is closed, the member will forfeit their credit for the late cancellation.  
    • Package selection: Control which membership options are or aren’t allowed to attend the class by selecting the applicable options. 

    What is the difference between a class and a session?


    Class: The class option is selected when group classes are created.

    Session: The session option is selected when you would like to add any private or personal training sessions.

    (The only difference between the two options is that “class” and “session” is separated on the calendar view and for the trainer rates and reports.)
