How do I make my classes show on the Discovery Vitality app and get paid?

Set a Health Provider Price so your Vitality drop-ins appear in the Discovery app, and learn how facilities get paid for Vitality check-ins.

Making your classes appear on the Discovery app — the "Health Provider Price"
A Vitality drop-in will not show up for members on the Discovery app until you set a Health Provider Price for it.

  1. Set the price: go to Settings >> Packages >> Drop-Ins, then create a new drop-in (or use Actions >> Edit on an existing one) and enter an amount in the Health Provider Price field.
  2. Choose which classes it applies to: Settings >> Packages >> Drop-Ins >> Actions >> Manage Classes, then select the classes this drop-in allows.
  3. Turn on Vitality comms: Settings >> Comms >> Notifications >> Discovery >> View/Edit >> Enable.

Getting paid for Vitality check-ins
Payment for Vitality check-ins is arranged directly between your facility and Discovery Vitality. Octiv does not pay you and does not set the per-check-in rate — Octiv only records the check-ins. For all Vitality-related queries, contact Discovery at vitalityfitness@discovery.co.za.

Finding your Vitality-only clients
A client who only ever booked through Discovery appears in Octiv as a Lead, not a member. Find them under Leads >> Manage — they're marked with a pink "V". These lead records are read-only (they come from the Vitality app). The maximum default period for Discovery members is 1 month.
